Tuesday, November 25th, Reception for Councilmember Mark Rosen, 11300 Stanford Avenue, 5:30pm till 6:30pm, before the City Council meeting. The reception is to honor Mark Rosen for a decade of public service on City Council. The public is welcome to attend, call (714) 741-5280 for additional information.

Wednesday, November 5th, Traffic Commission, reviewed the staff report which addressed speeding along Stanford Avenue between Brookhurst and Gilbert. The Traffic Commission approved the installation of striping along the edges to lessen the speedway look of the street. They also approved the installation of radar-sign system that will report a car's speed. The meeting was well attended by residents who were pleased with the changes.
Tree Lighting, Tuesday, December 2, at 6:30 pm, the free event takes place at the corner of Main and Euclid, in Village Green Park, under the green clock tower. The celebration will feature entertainment, refreshments, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus. The evening musical entertainment includes performances by local choirs, bell ringers, and dance groups.
Tuesday, December 9th, swearing in Ceremony for two Council Members Andrew Do and Steve Jones, who received the highest number of votes in the November 4th election.
Measure Q, to amend the term limits for City Council Members from four years to two years is close. There are 13 votes short of passage. Check the website after 5:00pm http://www.ocvote.com/live/results.htm
