Dear Neighbor,
Thanksgiving
gives us the opportunity to pause and remember those who have served
and
currently serve to ensure our democratic society. Our
freedoms and rights are what make our
country great. The board and I are
grateful to be part of a concerned, informed and involved community.

The Orange
County News (free weekly every Wednesday), on November 7th,
stated
our City Manager, Matthew Fertal, is
moving to Garden
Grove. He has
complied with public disclosure
requirements to purchase a condo in the Chapman Commons Complex on Chapman Avenue
and

Wal-Mart has pulled its plans for a Super store in Garden Grove.
They sited a downturn in the
economy and the rising costs of construction as reasons for leaving.
Regarding the Garden Grove Main Street
Downtown Business
Association legal challenge to the proposed 100 condominiums
development in the
west parking lot, the judge ruled in
favor of the developer. For

The City Council voted against a proposal to
put a fireworks ban on the ballot.
This measure would have given the voters the choice to decide
the
issue. The City Council chose to wait
and see what will happen on Friday, 4th of July in 2008.
They will
consider the issue again Tuesday, July 14th, 2008, to evaluate
the second year of city
citations for illegal fireworks usage.
Mayor Dalton and
Council Member Dina Nguyen with their families and hundreds of
concerned
residents joined together to wipe out graffiti in our city this month. Our Police Department arrested over a dozen
involved in graffiti to keep our neighborhoods free from graffiti. The next Graffiti Paint Out is Saturday,
December 1st. Phone the
