- Approximately 75 people were in
attendance for the Annual Meeting.
- President Rubin welcomed those
in attendance and advised them that Russ McDonald was ‘termed out’ as
treasurer. She asked if anyone was interested in the position. No member
volunteered. Informed the members that the by-laws include the option for
an extra year to the position if no one was available to take over the
duties. Toby motioned that Russ stay on as treasurer for an additional
year. Blackmun seconded the motion. It was carried (M/S/C) that Russ
McDonald retains the position for one more year.
- The election of President Rubin
and Vice-President Blackmun had been questionable to some; Secretary
Laudenslayer took to the podium and suggested that members ratify the
election of both officers by a hand vote to remove any question. He asked
for and received affirmative had votes for the ratification of both
officers, and seeing no negative votes, declared the election an official
one.
No further
official business was on the agenda, so President Rubin turned the microphone
over to MC John Wildsmith to introduce the guest speakers.
