CGGNA Board Meeting 3-18-08

      Builder- Hanover Pacific/ Mr Robert Kim

Mr. Kim was one of the builders who submitted his proposal for the CENTURY TRIANGE. He wanted to share his proposal with our association as he feels his plan is the best plan for this area. There are two other proposals that are being submitted to the city. The Hanover Pacific Plan- 86 town-home community on 4 acres. 35 of these units would be sold to UCI/Cal State Long Beach teachers. Loans would be provided by the Teachers Credit Unit. For the remaining units, he is in discussions with GG Hospital. The town-homes would be sold for $360 to 460K.

Old/New Business:

1) Treasurer report:
  • Total Bank Balance 1191.67
  • Follow up on the Debit Card Application submitted 2 weeks prior by Janine.
           
2) Secretary Business: 
  • Receipt for deposit made for the treasure $50. $10 checks were received this period.
  • Receipts totaling $141.47 were given by Janine for reimbursement for expenses ( 500 envelopes, 200 Stamps, Printer cartridge, 75 copies for Feb newsletter )

3) Website:

  • Old news will be removed and updated news regarding fireworks, City Council agenda.
  • Item- 3-11-08 Brookhurst Triangle was postponed as our board and other citizens had requested additional information. This matter was postponed until 3-25-08 City Council Meeting.
  • A public display of the 7 proposals will be ready for viewing Thursday, 3-20-08.
  • .INFO web name. Cost to keep is $7 for the year. This was approved by 5/0.
  • .ORG web domain is paid for the next 5 years.

4) Newsletter for March/April: was circulated for approved for early distribution so that the members could be advised of the 3-25-08 city council meeting regarding the Brookhurst Triangle. Additional copies of the newsletter will be printed and circulated via door to door. Total copies approved 600,  

5) Sharing of OCTA GO LOCAL program was discussed. The project being proposed is a shared project between Santa Ana and GG. It was suggested by Robin Marcario at the 3-11-08 City Council to extend the train route to downtown GG. Please watch the City Council 3-11-08 for the full presentation.

6) CGGNA next annual member meeting date was confirmed for July 12, 2008 10am to 12 noon at Cheryl & Tom’s Barn. We will further discuss the specifics of this meeting at our next board meeting in April.

Next Board Meeting will be 4/15 @ 6:30pm at Harry Pearce’s home.
