City Hall Report- per Verla Lambert

              

Old Business:

1) Arbor Day-April 29, 2011 Arbor Day Program @ Hare Park discussed; M/S/C to add CGGNA funds to cover the cost of t-shirts (Board Members). Ralph to explore possible quizzes or other activities with the Principal of Hare High School.

 

2) Change of Board meeting date/time-discussed; no change

 

3) Police Memorial Fund Donation-tabled to later date.

 

4) Code Enforcement Team Meeting- 2/17/2011 postponed to 2/24/2011 @ Toby’s 6:30pm. Maureen to e-mail notice to CGGNA members; Toby to submit to the Journal Newspaper.

 

5) Fund Raiser/Membership Drive-Toby to visit GG Journal Editor and request weekly notice of CGGNA events and meetings

 

6) Annual CGGNA Meeting- Set for June 18, 2011, Time TBA. Possible site change to Gutoski Park. m/s/c to ask John Wildsmith to contact invited guests. Pot luck event with picnic activities to be planned by board.

 

7) Strawberry Festival Parade-Participation by Board discussed; m/s/c to decline participation this year, but plan to participate bi-annually if funds are available.

 

New Business:

 

1) “Mixed Use Zoning Code” discussed by City Council/report by Verla Lambert: existing redevelopment contracts would be “held over” for future development to secure funds.

 

2) “Garden Compost Giveaway” set for Feb 26@ Public Works Service Center @ 13802 Newhope Street, 9:00-11:30am. Center and rear entrance.
