Approval of January Minutes: 5 ayes

New Business:

1) Treasurer report: by Russ McDonald, Treasurer

• Current balance $978.00
• Checks written: Harry Pearce $14.95 for website, Robin Marcario $53.81 newsletter expenses, $38.00 P O Box annual fee.
• Renewal: Kendra Taylor $10.00 membership and $40.00 donation.

2) Other Concerns Discussed:  

• President Marcario presented the need for additional revenue due to increased mailing costs and several options/opportunities for the Board to consider.  In addition to continuing efforts to securing donations (ie Costco/Stater Brothers), increasing Cggna outreach into our service area could (a)acquaint businesses/non-profits with the role of Cggna, (b)develop monetary or in-kind support for needed community services (to be determined) and (c) expand outreach through our annual meeting event.
• Members suggested several local businesses who have great potential for supporting Cggna; a raffle at the annual meeting was much in favor as a fund raiser.
• An earlier date for the annual meeting was proposed by the President and generated much support; location to be determined.
• Increasing efforts to publicize Cggna community events was suggested. John Wildsmith to contact Harry Pearce re: use of Cggna website and providing support to Harry.
