SUMMER NEWSLETTER
2011 from THE CGGNA PRESIDENT |
|
Hello Neighbors, Let me start by saying thank you for
the wonderful turn-out and active participation in our
8Th Annual Meeting and BBQ. It was great to see so
many people eager be a part of what has become for us
the highlight of our activities throughout the year;
an afternoon devoted to mingling with neighbors, on a
warm summer day, and listening to local officials talk
about what matters to us most- Our Neighborhood! Thank
you all for making the day so….festive! The minutes of the meeting and a
post-event review have been posted on the website.
Take a look. All comments and suggestions are
appreciated. I want to welcome all the new members
to the association. I consider your membership a vote
of confidence in this organization. Thank you. As I look forward to next year, I can’t
help but look back at what we have been able to
accomplish this past year. Indulge me for a moment
while I share with you what you and your board members
have accomplished in the past year. ·

Coverage
of City Meetings-Verla Lambert attends City Council,
Planning and just about every meeting the city holds.
She reports on the “doings”. She has her own signature
flare-so we dubbed it “Verla’s
Views” and it can be found on the website. Yes, it was a busy year; hard work at
times, but rewarding. Working with board members,
Ralph Laudenslayer, Russ McDonald, Maureen Blackmun,
Verla Lambert, and Laurie Merrick is an honor. They
are committed to the CGGNA for no other reason except
they care about the quality of life in Garden Grove;
East, West and Central. We are the ONLY neighborhood
association in Garden Grove. (Santa Ana has 64!) With
continued support and involvement we can keep our
organization going and growing. Enough about the past! Let’s get on
with the future!
