Hello Neighbors,
Happy Spring! I hope this letter finds you all
enjoying the weather and your emerging spring yards!
Please join CGGNA and City of
Garden Grove Public Works-Tree Division's for the 2nd
Annual Arbor Day Tree Planting, Friday April 29, 2011
at 10:00am at Hare Park. This year Hare High School
students and Student Council will be participating as
well. Consider coming out and be a part of the
Greening of the Grove! Rumor has it the Journal and
Channel 3 may be there.
Save the
Date! The
CGGNA's 5th Annual Meeting has been planned for
June 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm. It
will be in my yard @ 12361 Meade St. Garden
Grove. The event will include the CGGNA
association business, speakers (elected
officials, police and fire representatives),
raffles, AND a BBQ and pot luck as well! Please save
the date and plan on a bit of fun along with the
business! The CGGNA will provide the main meal,
tableware, and lemonade. You are asked to bring a side
dish and your chair or blanket! He’s baaaack….John Wildsmith that
is. John will again handle the invitations to speakers
for the meeting and he will be MC'ing
the show. Welcome back, John! Verla Lambert has
donated a quilt for our raffle and we are out seeking
other donations from businesses locally. So if you see
us coming, hide! We are looking forward to the event.
It should be fun.
The CGGNA has formed a "Clean and Green Team". The
attached document outlines the aims and ideals of this
effort. Consider joining the "Clean and Green Team" by
calling Ralph Laudenslayer at 714-539-7389 or you can
report a code violation directly to the City by
calling or emailing them at 714-741-5358 or emailing
them at CodeEnforcement@ci.garden-grove.ca.us.
A few plugs for the arts in Garden Grove!
Hopefully, you saw the Gem's production of the 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! It was an excellent
and hysterical production! Chicago is the next show.
Try and make it. You will not be disappointed.
